Presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala says his past criticisms of President Bola Tinubu should no longer be the focus of public debate, describing them as "baseless" in light of current realities, while insisting they were never false.
Speaking on Channels Television's Politics Today on Wednesday, Bwala responded to questions from anchor Seun Okinbaloye about remarks he made before joining the Tinubu administration.
When asked whether calling his previous comments "baseless" meant they were lies, Bwala clarified the distinction:
"They are not lies. They are baseless. Not important for conversation."
He argued that revisiting his past criticisms is no longer relevant and urged Nigerians to focus instead on the policies of the current administration and the issues that directly affect their lives.
